Hi folx,
The end of October is in sight and what a month! Behind the scenes, we’ve been full steam ahead with Dragonmeet preparations and what a con it’s going to be! I’ll be sending out another newsletter around the middle of next month with more information about TIN’s presence at the con, so keep an eye out for that!
As ever, a video summary of this newsletter is embedded below.

The TIN community is growing, and there’s no surer sign than two new regular social events starting this month. The first is a weekday virtual coffee morning to complement our existing weekend virtual coffee morning. The second is a meetup in Leeds. Dragonmeet 2024 approaches, and it’s the place to be. Stop by our table if you're attending. Chat with some cool creators, check out some indie RPGs and grab some tabletop swag! The convention runs on the 30th November at Novotel Hammersmith. Trade hall opens from 10AM to 6PM.
And if you want to exhibit some games through TIN, come and chat with us in the UK TIN Discord and ask for the dragonmeet2024 role. Further information about what we’ll be selling will be coming out in a dedicated pre-Dragonmeet newsletter.
Are you a Creative of Colour? Be sure to check out the People of Colour (PoC) Lounge at Dragonmeet. This is the lounge’s second year at Dragonmeet and this year features a variety of panels, networking events, games and even a game jam! Members of TIN’s Creatives of Colour will be speaking on the panel Design Your First TTRPG at 10am and Taylor Navarro will be facilitating other events over the course of the day, including panels on Professionalism, Actual Plays, and Marketing.
After a series of unforeseen circumstances, Taylor Navarro is still planning to present her TIN Talk, “It’s Dangerous to Go Alone: Why and How to Make Games with Other People”, on Thursday 14th November at 7.30pm on the Seminar Stage of the UK TIN Discord.
All of our TIN Talks are recorded and available at the TIN Talks Archive.
New & Recent Releases
Black Armada have released a second edition of their GM-less single session horror game Lovecraftesque. 2-5 players share control of a single character who is witness to the terrible horror you will create, no doubt ending with their gruesome death.
Our favourite feature is the hidden illustrations throughout the box, board and rulebooks, which are revealed using a UV flashlight, included with the physical game.
You can pick up the new game and all expansions on the Black Armada website.
Bundles, Crowdfunding, & Subscriptions
A number of our community members are taking part in the Bundle for Ukrainian Hospitals game jam. This is intended to create a bundle of games that supports medical facilities damaged during the devastating conflict in Ukraine. Working with the Serhii Prytula Charity Foundation, this bundle will provide much-needed funds for a very worthy cause. If you’d like to contribute a game (either one you created specially for the jam or one that already exists; both are welcomed), submit to the game jam by the 4th November 2024. Otherwise, keep an eye on the Bundle for Ukrainian Hospitals social media to back this bundle when it launches.
Carve a bloody swathe through history’s darkest nightlife scenes in Paint the Town Red, a new sad gay vampire RPG by SoulMuppet Publishing. You are immortal, and it sucks.
Chase your faded mortality in an endless cycle of obsession, hedonism and addiction, as you try to remember what it feels like to be alive again. The game explores themes of depression, trauma, vice and loneliness in historic cities across the world.
Check it out on Backerkit, running until November 8th, 12am GMT.
Transgender Deathmatch Legend II from Rat Wave Game House is a one-on-one TTRPG of brutal beat-em-up action where you fight your way through the mean streets of a fictional tournament. Fighters choose their style and let the fists fly in this disruptive and action-packed street fighting game. Follow the Backerkit page to get notified when this project launches.
UK Tabletop Industry Network has a Patreon! All contributions via the Patreon (or to our Ko-fi for one-off donations) go towards our goal of supporting up-and-coming creators in the tabletop industry without a paywall or other barrier to entry. In particular, Patreon funding is currently the main way we cover up-front fees for conventions and events (partly reimbursed by a cut of sales). The more funding we get, the more events we can attend, and the more games by aspiring creatives we can put in front of excited games that might otherwise never see them!
What’s more, if you support the Patreon at the £5 tier or above, you’ll get free access to some great games, such as LadyBeaste by Michael Duxbury, Drama Llamas by Yvris Burke, and Biome by Black Armada Games.
The latest Patreon update includes a new free game, Slasher by Sam Armstrong.
