Hello! I’m Michael, and I’m trying not to think about how close UK Games Expo is by writing another TIN newsletter.
To be fair, lots of the preparations we’re making are really exciting. For example, we’ve started rebranding to replace our old “London TIN” materials with something that reflects the current era of TIN. Our art director, Mikhail Malkin, did an amazing job as usual.
The other big news is that we now have regular TIN meetups in Glasgow, as well as London and Manchester. As usual, you’ll find all the details below, along with all the latest games from our UK creators that I know you’re going to love. Enjoy!

Meetups & Events
TIN is growing around the UK! We now have three regular in-person socials running at least once a month, in London, Manchester, and Glasgow. Our upcoming events are:
London: Thursday 2nd May, 7pm, The Arcanist’s Tavern, Shoreditch
Manchester: Saturday 4th May, 2.30pm, The Wharf Pub, Castlefield
Glasgow: Fortnightly at the Beco Building, 62 Kingston Street, on
Friday 3rd May, 10am
Friday 17th May, 10am
Friday 31st May, 10am
London meetups are usually the first Thursday of the month (next one is 6th June), Manchester meetups are usually the first Saturday of the month (next one is 1st June), and Glasgow meetups are fortnightly on Fridays. Watch this space for future dates and more information about socials in other cities.
TIN is hosting a virtual Coffee Morning on Sunday 19th May at 11am. This informal meetup is a perfect opportunity to get to know members from across the UK, make friends, and learn about each other's projects. Bring your beverage of choice and join us in the voice channel of the UK TIN Discord (video calling is optional, but warmly welcomed).
Our next TIN Talk is on Thursday 9th May, from 7.30pm, on the Seminar Stage of the UK TIN Discord. Chant Evans from Ex Stasis Games presents: the Freelancer's Survival Guide, drawing on his years of experience as a freelancer, producer, and publisher in the RPG industry. Chant will talk about making the most of freelance opportunities and what to expect (and, importantly, what not to put up with), as well as providing tips for extending and continuing your freelance career. Join the chat to discuss freelancing with our lively community, and to put your own questions to Chant!
Last month’s TIN Talk, by Maz Hamilton from Rowan, Rook and Decard, was about the GAMA Expo and how to sell your products in the behemoth American tabletop market. The recording of this talk, and all our previous TIN Talks, is now available at the TIN Talks Archive.
Following its success last year, the Dicebreaker Tabletop Creators Summit is once again on at MCM ComicCon this year, on Friday 24th May. Running from 10.30am to 5pm, with a series of planned talks in the morning followed by a networking event and an informal “Unconference” in the afternoon, the summit is sure to be a valuable opportunity for anyone who is currently working or aspiring to work in the industry.
There may still be some spaces left, so register your interest here if you’d like to attend. Anyone who registers for the event is also eligible for a free con ticket for the rest of the day.
Several of our members will be there, so do stop and say hi if you recognise anyone!
New & Recent Releases
Every month we like to shout out new releases in the scene, and The Hearty, Esoteric and Infamous Society of Thieves (H.E.I.S.T) by Millie Lavelle has one of our all-time favourite titles. The game focuses on running heists in a world full of science and magic, where any or all player characters could be harbouring schemes of betrayal, creating ample opportunities for twists, shocks, roleplay, and revenge. The game runs on the Year Zero system, and was created as part of Pocket Quest 2024.
The Almanac of Sanguine Paths by Rori Montford is a GMless letter writing and journaling game for 1-2 players, who play werewolves writing to a mysterious benefactor and to each other. The game can adapt to your preferred playstyle, with six pre-built worlds to suit any genre of play, from gothic horror to modern day to sci-fi.
You can buy the game on Itch here, or check out some videos that show you how it runs.
The Odyssey Collective presents Faces of the Cage, a set of 16 unique, hand-crafted NPCs who call Sigil, the City of Doors, their home, along with the colourful locations where you’ll find them. These characters are ready to fit in your Planescape game, from a rogue restaurant-running Modron, to a previously disintegrated Waterdhavian investigator with an ear for revenge, and many more.
Bundles, Crowdfunding, & Subscriptions
The Kingdom of Prester John by Frederic Walker is a solo journalling RPG in which you play a member of the Catholic clergy in the late 12th century, venturing far beyond the realms of Christendom. Take with you knowledge from bestiaries and mappae mundi, but be prepared to delve not only into unknown lands, but into the surreal and twisted landscapes as conceived by the medieval Christian mind.
You can back The Kingdom of Prester John on Kickstarter, live until Monday 27th May.
