Hello from me, Michael Duxbury, and our TIN mascot, Mochi! We’re here to let you know from the London Tabletop Industry Networking group at Dragonmeet next week.
Dragonmeet is dear to TIN’s heart, and very much in our neck of the woods. We’re especially excited to be boothing in the all-new third trading space, right by the space’s entrance in fact. If you’re attending, please reach out to us on our socials, so we know to keep an eye out for you.
Meetups & Events
Exhibitors are invited to a pre-Dragonmeet networking event the night before the convention starts. It's in the St Julien room, on the 2nd floor of Hammersmith Novotel from 8pm on Friday 1st December. BYOB, or carry drinks up from the hotel bar!
The next London Tabletop Industry Networking Meetup is on Thursday 7th October, at The Lamb in Bloomsbury from 7pm. Hopefully we’ll have a bunch of new folks pop by, after meeting us at Dragonmeet.
The following meetups are on Thursday 4th January, Thursday 1st February, and Thursday 7th March. All at The Lamb, unless you hear different between now and then.
We’re delighted that Matt Sanders from Rowan Rook and Decard and Sealed Library has offered to run an online tabletop crowdfunding seminar, on Thursday 11th January, hosted on our UK TIN Discord, from 7pm.
Our members have been clamouring for a return of TIN talks for a while. Whilst the rising cost of London accommodation has ruled out free communal spaces to host the talk physically, we’re hoping that running online will draw interest from beyond the capital. We hope you’ll login for a bit with questions for our Q&A!
Dragonmeet Highlights
This year’s TIN table at Dragonmeet presents our largest selection of games and game accessories yet, a mix of old favourites and new friends. Here’s just some of what we have on offer…
Our library of RPG zines for 2 or more players includes:
You Meet in Tavern, You Die in Dungeon from Ursidice, a rules-light, pick up and play, procedurally generated dungeon crawler where all characters are destined to die.
Under the Floorboards from Chris Bissette, a game about tiny people living in a giant, hostile world, inspired by The Borrowers.
Crying Wolf and Golden Eggs from Michael Duxbury, a pair of “Dark Aesop” RPGs about kids fighting a monster alone and labour exploitation respectively.
On a lighter note, LadyBeaste and Field Trip (also by me) are instead inspired by 80s fantasy movies and family-friendly adventures like Night at the Museum.
W.H. Arthur will be bringing The Sol Survivor, a GM-less game inspired by Chinese Mythology, and Molotov College, a game of super-powered drama.
Talking Thunder by Eleanor Hingley, a two-player correspondence RPG about finding connection in a dystopian world.
The Fall of Home by Jo Winter, a diceless, GMless collaborative storytelling game about the place you used to call home, leaving it behind, and returning.
From the Far Horizons CoOp comes Little Gods and The Boundless Library, promising adventures in the big city and competitive map-drawing respectively.
TIN is also renowned for its collection of solo RPG zines, which this year includes:
The Wretched by Chris Bissette, a space horror game about human resilience in the face of overwhelming odds and almost certain death. The GOAT of solo RPGs!
Scribe by Frederic Walker, which chronicles the collapse of civilization in the Late Bronze Age, and is itself a Wretched & Alone game.
Tending: A Game of Devotion by Tori Truslow, a mixed media journalling game about a devotee at a holy site, undertaking sacred work across the seasons.
Con stall bestseller Ex Libris by Eleanor Hingley, about returning books and creating a filing system for books in your fantasy library.
Eran Aviram’s Menagerie of the Void and Caregiver, which detail a sad zoo in space and the guidance of a benevolent healing spirit respectively.
From the Far Horizons CoOp we have Outliers, a Wretched & Alone game about a put-upon research assistant and O Morningstar!, a game of resistance and rebellion.
We’ll also be selling adventures, accessories, gaming prompts, and all sorts of other stuff, including:
Our usual collection of amazing products from Mikhail Malkin, including his bestselling Ash Nocktem’s Travelling Companions deck of NPCs, live character sketches, battlemaps, stickers, and, new for Dragonmeet, a fantasy adventure zine!
Beautiful, centrepiece D20 candles available in a range of sizes (the range is small, medium, and lethal weapon).
Fantasy adventures from Chris Bissette for Mork Borg and a dungeon game: Treasures of the Troll King, In the Bluelight, A Waning Light, and The Moss Mother’s Maze.
Creative prompts for world-building in Cut-up Catacomb by Tori Truslow, and Seed of an Idea by Eleanor Hingley.
Last Orders by Jo Winter, a collection of system-neutral resources to help GMs breathe life into their fantasy inns and taverns.
One page RPGs! Two page RPGs! Business card RPGs! Other stuff we don’t have space for! If you want to see the full collection, you’ll have to swing on by.
